The Post Office of Serbia, with over 2,250 access points and close to 3,600 service areas, covers all 88,000 square kilometers of the territory of the state and successfully connects them with the whole world.
The recipient may request the addition of postal items, other than court letters, to a new, temporary address. The recipient of the request shall submit in writing in any post and pay the postal fee set forth in the price list.
The duration of treatment according to this request can not be longer than 90 days.
If the request is filed in a post that is not responsible for the delivery of the consignment, the recipient is obliged to pay the postage for dispatch of the request by the postal address in the fastest way. The most practical is that the request for the posting of a mail to a new, temporary address is submitted in its mailbox.
In the case of a registered consignment, it is necessary that the sender, on the basis of the receipt of the receipt of the shipment, initiates a search procedure. As a rule, the claim procedure is initiated at the post office in which the shipment is surrendered, but it can be initiated in any other post office.
For consignments from which reception has not passed more than 10 (ten) days, the search procedure can not be initiated, except for the orders and express express parcels and packages with special characteristics regarding the deadlines for the transfer (in internal postal traffic), for which the claim procedure can be run after the deadline for delivery.
For express shipping in international postal traffic, the claim procedure can be started after the expiration of 3 (three) business days from the date of receipt of the shipment.
For unregistered consignments, the claim procedure can not be started.
